I am Nadav Gur, and for the last 20 years I’ve been running startups companies – since the Palm Pilot days. I’ve spent 10 years focused on the intersection between the mobile and travel industry, bringing travel content and transactions to mobile devices, creating new experiences and business models. I was the founder & CEO of WorldMate, the app for business travelers (acquired by Carlson Wagonlit Travel, the world’s biggest corporate travel agency), an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at SRI International, the US’s premier independent research & innovation organization, and the founder & CEO of Desti, a semantic search engine for travel (acquired by Nokia HERE). I was also a co-founder of Servo Labs and MeARKET and an advisor to several other companies, from venture capital firms, start-ups to household brands.
In my previous life I was running projects for the aerospace industry, following a 6-year term as an Israeli Air Force officer. I have worked with some of the biggest experts on this planet in areas ranging from applied machine learning through missile-to-missile guidance to app marketing, and hopefully I’ve learned something from each of them.
